DESCRIPTION:Let’s learn how to Free Motion in a unique and very old technique called Thread Painting. My Mother taught me how to make a bird when I was a little girl on a Singer Blackhead! \nFirst of all\, there is no right or wrong way of thread painting! (Quilt Police: please read this again!) Thread painting is pretty much drawing with threads and fabrics. It is about your personal preferences\, about density\, light and shadow\, colors and texture… it is pretty much about you being in control of how the thread moves across the canvas of your fabric.  You are the Artist and your sewing machine is your  tool. \n It’s also a really fun and forgivable technique\, an awesome way to practice free-motion quilting without the pressure of practicing free-motion quilting. \nThe Fabric Kit is included in your Class fee. \n\nFabric kit– 2 pieces of Batik fabric cut in 8” X 8” hexagons. \n\n3 pieces of Stitch N Ditch stabilizer- 10” X 10”\n1 piece of 9” X 9” batting\n1 piece of 8” X 8” muslin with leaf patterns drawn on it for practice.\n\n\n\n\nSupply list for you to bring: *can purchase at the store if needed that day.\n\n*5 spools of rayon or cotton thread \n\n1 spool medium green and 1 spool dark green\n1 spool dark brown and 1 of medium brown\n1 spool mustard yellow \n1 spool yellow gold\n\n\n *Quilters gloves\n*Free motion spring foot that works on your machine- If we don’t have in stock we may need to order one for your machine so please give us at least 7 days to special order. DESCRIPTION:Let’s learn how to Free Motion in a unique and very old technique called Thread Painting. My Mother taught me how to make a bird when I was a little girl on a Singer Blackhead! \nFirst of all\, there is no right or wrong way of thread painting! (Quilt Police: please read this again!) Thread painting is pretty much drawing with threads and fabrics. It is about your personal preferences\, about density\, light and shadow\, colors and texture… it is pretty much about you being in control of how the thread moves across the canvas of your fabric.  You are the Artist and your sewing machine is your  tool. \n It’s also a really fun and forgivable technique\, an awesome way to practice free-motion quilting without the pressure of practicing free-motion quilting. \n  Kit Includes:  All Fabric\, stabilizer and batting used. One pair of quilting gloves. \nSupply list for you to bring: *can purchase at the store if needed that day. \nFive spools of a Rayon or cotton thread in browns\, greens and yellow. You’ll learn how to connect designs in one VERY long row\, how to choose lace designs for your projects and what stabilizer\, threads and needles work the best. \nEndless Lace Class Supply list \n1. Any long thin rectangle hoop that you have that’s taller than it is wider. Ex.- 360X260\, 240×150 \n2. We’ll be talking about some good endless lace designs\, but \nbring a few that you think will make good endless lace. Border designs are a good start. \n3. You’ll need at least 1 spool of rayon only thread for the top and the bobbin. We’ll talk more about this in class. \n4. One roll of Aqua Magic stabilizer. \n5. SUMMARY:Advanced Embroidery Techniques - Neckline Embroidery
DESCRIPTION:In this advanced class\, we will learn how to choose a neckline embroidered design and with some minor adjustments in software\, how you can make it fit your neckline better. There are placement technique\, software techniques\, hooping technique’s\, and a fabric alteration or two in this class that will make your neckline stunning! \nThis is a hands-on class\, but if you don’t want to bring your machine you can watch and learn. You may or may not finish your neckline in class\, so bring something simple or a way to take home your hooped fabric. \nSupply list: \nMachine and embroidery arm in good working order. A ready-to-wear top or a pre-cut top front from a pattern you’re making. Hoop that will fit a design you have pre-chosen before class and stabilizer that is appropriate for your fabric.  Fabric marker\, small scissors\, Pink perfection tape and straight pins.
