SUMMARY:Advanced Embroidery Techniques - Neckline Embroidery
DESCRIPTION:In this advanced class\, we will learn how to choose a neckline embroidered design and with some minor adjustments in software\, how you can make it fit your neckline better. There are placement technique\, software techniques\, hooping technique’s\, and a fabric alteration or two in this class that will make your neckline stunning! \nThis is a hands-on class\, but if you don’t want to bring your machine you can watch and learn. You may or may not finish your neckline in class\, so bring something simple or a way to take home your hooped fabric. \nSupply list: \nMachine and embroidery arm in good working order. A ready-to-wear top or a pre-cut top front from a pattern you’re making. Hoop that will fit a design you have pre-chosen before class and stabilizer that is appropriate for your fabric.  Fabric marker\, small scissors\, Pink perfection tape and straight pins. DESCRIPTION:Advanced Techniques Part 4- Piping\, Zipper Insertion\, Custom buttonholes\, Button sewing \nMASTER TECHNIQUE CLASS FOR ALL SEWING MACHINES SOLD AT MCDOUGAL SEWING\nIn this class\, you will learn about Zipper insertion\, Custom buttonholes\, Button sewing\, Piping insertion.  Feet you can use are the zipper foot\,  piping foot\, manual buttonhole foot\, button sewing foot.  If you have an invisible zipper you can buy/bring an invisible zipper foot and use that instead of a standard zipper. \nYou must be comfortable using your sewing machine\, know how to thread it and wind a bobbin and where length\, width and tension are located. This is NOT a beginner class. \nThere is a $10 kit fee for this class.  The kit includes all fabric and a standard zipper and a button. \nPlease bring your machine in good working order\, all pressure feet you have\, a neutral top and bobbin thread\, small scissors for threads and a new Universal needle in machine. SUMMARY:Advanced Serger Techniques-Part 2 Ruffling & Decorative Edges
DESCRIPTION:Free to qualified Sergers purchased at McDougal Sewing\nLet’s learn how to use some of the many stitches our sergers do and how the optional pressure feet help our creativity. Techniques shown will be how to do Ruffling\, 3-thread rolled edges\, pin-tucks\, and 3-thread decorative edge. \nThis is a hands-on intermediate class. You must know how to thread your serger and feel comfortable using it. \nSupply List: Bring your serger\, in good working order and all attachments that came with it. Have your serger threaded with 4 spools of white/cream thread\, 2 new needles and a small pair of scissors. If you have the Ruffling foot\, and a blind hem foot please bring them for this class. \nFabric and specialty tools may be provided.  Some attachments will be shared during class when needed. $10 kit fee\, cash only\, due day of class.
