DESCRIPTION:OPEN to the PUBLIC\nLearn how to use the cover-stitch in this basic class. We’ll learn set-up\, threading\, and hemming skills. \nThis class is FREE to most Cover-stitch sergers purchased at McDougal Sewing as long as they have an original purchase receipt from McDougal Sewing. Serger MUST be in good working order and have all the parts needed to do a cover-stitch. \nNo refunds are given if you don’t have all pieces needed on the day of class. \nPlease check your manual for what is needed for a cover-stitch. \nSupply List:\n\nSerger in good working order with all power cords\, foot pedal\, and instruction manual.\nALL extra cover-stitch parts needed to do a cover-stitch on your serger if it does 2/3/4/5 & Cover-stitch stitches.\nBring 4 spools of regular serger cone thread\, any color(s). Only bring serger cone thread\, not sewing spool thread.\nAll accessories that came with your serger\, including extra new needles\, screwdriver to remove needles\, small scissors to cut thread.\nPlease remember no refunds are given if you come to class without all the parts to do a cover-stitch. Most all manuals can be found online.

DESCRIPTION:Wonky Texture Quilt – July 2023\nSession #8\nOur blocks today include the Join and Fold Edging Foot\, Vintage stitches\, and Fonts. \nThe Join and Fold Edging Foot is designed to join your fabric edge to another fabric or trim. In our case for our quilt\, we are going to join different strips of fabric. The joining stitches are fun and pretty! \nThe Vintage Stitches are luscious\, yummy embroidery stitches reminiscent of hand work done in crazy quilting. The stitches sew back and forth numerous times to give extra depth and dimension. \nDecide in a “theme” for your words. It could be your family names\, favorite sayings\, Inspirational thoughts or five letter words you can play on Wordle! I chose things that have meaning to me. \nSupplies: \n\nJoin and Fold Edging Foot\nOpen- toe applique foot or Pfaff 2A foot or Viking ‘S’ foot\nStitch-N-Ditch Stabilizer\nMarking pen for fabric\nEmbroidery thread- different colors and Bobbin thread in bobbin\nSewing thread\, the primary color of your fabrics if needed.\n\nPre-cut before class: \n\nTwo 9” X 9” blocks and two 9”X 9” squares of Stitch-N-Ditch Stabilizer\nCut 5 strips 2” x 9” from five different fabrics.
