DESCRIPTION:In this advanced class\, we will learn how to choose a neckline embroidered design and with some minor adjustments in software\, how you can make it fit your neckline better. There are placement technique\, software techniques\, hooping technique’s\, and a fabric alteration or two in this class that will make your neckline stunning! \nThis is a hands-on class\, but if you don’t want to bring your machine you can watch and learn. You may or may not finish your neckline in class\, so bring something simple or a way to take home your hooped fabric. \nSupply list: \nMachine and embroidery arm in good working order. A ready-to-wear top or a pre-cut top front from a pattern you’re making. Hoop that will fit a design you have pre-chosen before class and stabilizer that is appropriate for your fabric.  Fabric marker\, small scissors\, Pink perfection tape and straight pins. DESCRIPTION:Let’s learn how to Free Motion in a unique and very old technique called Thread Painting. My Mother taught me how to make a bird when I was a little girl on a Singer Blackhead! \nFirst of all\, there is no right or wrong way of thread painting! (Quilt Police: please read this again!) Thread painting is pretty much drawing with threads and fabrics. It is about your personal preferences\, about density\, light and shadow\, colors and texture… it is pretty much about you being in control of how the thread moves across the canvas of your fabric.  You are the Artist and your sewing machine is your  tool. \n It’s also a really fun and forgivable technique\, an awesome way to practice free-motion quilting without the pressure of practicing free-motion quilting. \n  Kit Includes:  All Fabric\, stabilizer and batting used. One pair of quilting gloves. \nSupply list for you to bring: *can purchase at the store if needed that day. \nFive spools of a Rayon or cotton thread in browns\, greens and yellow. Earthy tones would work great. \n\n\n\n*Free motion spring foot that works on your machine- If we don’t have in stock we may need to order one for your machine so please give us at least 7 days to special order. Great way to design your own fabric panels and use for home dec\, clothing or quilting. \nYou can bring your embroidery machine with a hoop at least  180 x 130 or 5″ x 7″. Smaller hoop sizes will not work. Serger MUST be in good working order and have all the parts needed to do a cover-stitch. \nNo refunds are given if you don’t have all pieces needed on the day of class. \nPlease check your manual for what is needed for a cover-stitch. \nSupply List:\n\nSerger in good working order with all power cords\, foot pedal\, and instruction manual.\nALL extra cover-stitch parts needed to do a cover-stitch on your serger if it does 2/3/4/5 & Cover-stitch stitches.\nBring 4 spools of regular serger cone thread\, any color(s).
