DESCRIPTION:MASTER TECHNIQUE CLASS FOR ALL SEWING MACHINES SOLD AT MCDOUGAL SEWING \nLearn some different techniques your sewing machine is capable of in this 2-hour class offered FREE with a sewing machine purchase from McDougal Sewing.  This is a dynamic class that may change each session depending on what most people want to learn.  Some techniques will be demoed\, but most will be hands-on. If you don’t want to bring your machine\,  you can just sign up and watch the techniques. Do to the size of our classroom and the popularity of theses classes\, we ask that you take each section of the class only 2 times. DESCRIPTION:Free to sergers purchased at McDougal Sewing\n\n\n\n\nLet’s learn how to use some of the many stitches our sergers do and how the optional pressure feet help our creativity. The techniques we will do this quarter are Ruffling/Gathering and Hemming techniques- Rolled and Blind hem. \nThis is a hands-on intermediate class. You must know how to thread your serger and feel comfortable using it. Bring your serger\, in good working order and all attachments that came with it. Have your serger threaded with 4 spools of white/cream thread\, 2 new needles and a small pair of scissors. Fabric and specialty tools will be provided.  Some attachments will be shared during class when needed. $5 kit fee due day of class. \nOne person per serger\, if you need a translator\, please contact Rebecca @ Rebecca.jospeh@mcdougalsewing.com.

DESCRIPTION:SERGER 101 – OPEN TO THE PUBLIC\nGet out that serger\, dust it off and learn how to thread it\, and do some basic seams in this 2-hour class. This starter class is for 3/4 thread serging only. If you have a 5 thread serger\, we will not go into 5 threads or coverstitch. \nSUPPLIES NEEDED: Please bring your serger instruction manual\, all accessories that came with your serger\, extra needles for your serger\, power cord complete\, serger in good working order\, small scissors\, and tweezers. You’ll also need 4 spools of SERGER CONE thread the same colors as the tension knobs: usually red\, yellow\, green\, and blue. Fabric is provided by the instructor. Check your manual to see if you have needed accessories for class or email rebecca.joseph@mcdougalsewing.com for clarification. \nYou must be 18 or over to take this class and only 1 person per serger.\n\nSerger MUST be in good working order.\nIf you don’t know if it is or not\, contact Rebecca at Rebecca.joseph@mcdougalsewing.com and she can talk you through this process.  No refunds are given if the serger doesn’t work the day of class.
