DESCRIPTION:MASTER TECHNIQUE CLASS FOR ALL SEWING MACHINES SOLD AT MCDOUGAL SEWING\nIn this class\, you will learn about Decorative Trims and Applique Techniques.  Feet you can use are the yarn foot\, the 3 hole cord and join and fold foot\, the beading foot\, the ribbon foot\, and the open-toe applique foot. You’ll learn what special stitches work best with the different techniques. \nThere is a $10 kit fee for this class. Please bring your machine in good working order\, all pressure feet you have\, a bobbin with white bobbin thread in bobbin\,(top thread will be provided)\, small scissors for threads and a new Universal needle in machine. \n \nPrerequisite: Machine Basics  \n

SUMMARY:Advanced Serger Techniques Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Free to qualified Sergers purchased at McDougal Sewing\nLet’s learn how to use some of the many stitches our sergers do and how the optional pressure feet help our creativity. Techniques shown will be how to do flat locking\, piping\, and bead insertion and zipper insertion. \nThis is a hands-on intermediate class. You must know how to thread your serger and feel comfortable using it. \nSupply List: Bring your serger\, in good working order and all attachments that came with it. Have your serger threaded with 4 spools of white/cream thread\, 2 new needles and a small pair of scissors. If you have the bead foot\, the piping foot and a blind hem foot please bring them for this class. \nFabric and specialty tools may be provided.  Some attachments will be shared during class when needed. $10 kit fee\, cash only\, due day of class. \nOne person per Serger\, if you need a translator\, please contact Rebecca @ Rebecca.jospeh@mcdougalsewing.com. \n \n
