Experience Levels
(N) Novice. No experience whatsoever Unable to thread machine, wind bobbin, or operate the machine. Novice sewing is an abbreviated class that teaches only the most basic skills.
(B) Beginner. Beginners will have all the skills listed in the Beginner Sewing class. Essentially you can operate your machine on your own, get out of jams and be familiar with the basic tools. Some experience sewing.
(I) Intermediate. Everything a beginner knows plus familiar with patterns. The intermediate sewer will be able to come to class with the pattern and fabric precut and marked.
(A) Advanced. You can pretty much do anything with your machine. Confident in your ability to tackle any project.
Equivalent Experience. You may have experience and knowledge of the skills listed in a prerequisite class. If you think you already know about the skills in the prerequisite class, then you have equivalent experience. Be aware that you will be expected to know those skills, as they will not be taught in the class.
