How to Position your Embroidery – Open to the Public.

Can’t seem to get your designs where you want them?
Have a smaller hoop and you want to learn how to connect designs for a border?
Come to this hands-on class on placement. We’ll learn how to position a name on a placement line, how to connect designs for a continuous border to use on a shower curtain, and how to line up multiple designs in one hoop.
You’ll be using your embroidery machine for this hands-on class. We’ll be doing practice samples so you can go home and use your new placement skills on your next project.
You must be familiar with your embroidery machine- how to thread your machine and use it for basic embroidery.
Supply list:
- Embroidery machine in good working order along with your embroidery foot, hoops you’ll want to use and power cords.
- Bring ½ yard of a solid cotton fabric, cotton only. This is for your samples.
- Tear away stabilizer* to go under your ½ yard fabric, more is better.
- Fabric marker*, chalk* or Frixion pens*.
- Fabric and thread scissors*, straight pins*, Rayon thread*- any color, Bobbin wound with bobbin thread*, Embroidery needles*-new-size 12 or 14.
- All your questions on positioning! You may want to bring something to take notes on also.
