Learn how to create a Designer style pillow using your ruffler foot and make ruffles the whole width and length of your material. This pillow comes out looking very expensive and you would think it took days to create when it takes about 1 1/2 hours to make. You can use any sewing machine for this technique if you can attach a ruffler foot. Learn how to use a ruffler in various ways and the folded method used in this pillow.  A fun way to use a pretty piece of fabric.

Supplies:

Any pillow, any size. Measure the pillow to get the width + 1″ and the length + 1″ . Example: if your bed pillow measures 20″ X 26″ you would add 1″ to each number = 21″ X 27″. Now double both numbers – 42″ X 54″ and that is the amount of fabric you would need to cut. More is better than less.

Needles and thread that are appropriate for your fabric.  Basic sewing supplies. Machine in good working order, with accessories and power cords  and controller.  Fabric marker and small ruler or tape measure.
