Free motion quilting isn’t so hard once you have the right machine and the proper instruction. Whether you are a beginner or advanced quilter, our JUKI educator will teach you techniques to help make your Free Motion quilting look professional. We will explore notions designed to help plus much more. In-person attendees will also get to use different types of machines; our TL series straight stitch and even a sit down long arm.
The event will start with Sherry talking about the different types of machines Juki has available and how each one can be used to enhance the free motion process. She will briefly talk about picking the best thread, needle, and foot to help them be successful. She will then go into the actual process of free motion quilting and the tools that make it easier to be successful. Sherry will talk about sandwiching your quilt, the batting, deciding how to quilt the quilt, rulers, stencils, and other marking tools, gloves, and other tools to help move the quilt top around the machine.
How to Attend:
- Attend this event in person with Hands-on at the Main Store in Katy (limit 6).
- Use Zoom to attend at home.
Those attending in person will use the sit-down long arm and the TL-180QVP.
