Let McDougal Sewing and Shari Medford teach your child the basics of sewing! Shari has 25+ years of inspiring people of all ages to find their inner fabric lover. She’ll lead your child into the world of Sewing by teaching some of the basic skills needed to be creative in the Fiber Arts.

Skills include, but are not limited to:

• Basics of a sewing machine
• How to thread and use a sewing machine
• Sewing terminology
•  Fabric and thread information
• How to use sewing tools
• 1- 2-3 completed projects, depending on skill level.

Sewing Machines are available for $25 flat fee. (1 day or 3 days) Student can bring their own machine to learn also. Please see the requirements in Supply list.

Sewing box with basic supplies available for $49 + tax, that’s a 25% Kamp discount! Student can bring their own sewing box with supplies also. (see Supply List).

Students will have a 30 min. lunch break. Please provide a sacked lunch and drink for your child to bring every day.

Please no students younger than 9 or older than 17 years old. Only one student per machine. Please pick up child promptly at 1:00 pm daily.

All classes require on-line pre-registration and payment. Online registration for Kamp closes 48 hours prior to first day of Kamp, so please call 281-347-0453 to see if a space is available for late registration. Payment of sewing machine rental and the sewing box with all supplies will be done at the store the first day of class, and are non refundable.

If you must cancel some or part of the Kamp, we kindly ask you to let us know no later than 5 days prior to the event to qualify for a full refund. If you cancel the class with less than 5 days notice, your refund amount will be minus $60 to pay for the time the teacher took to prepare. However, if you cancel with 24 hours or less notice or don’t show for class, there will be no refunds or transfer of funds to another class. Some classes may be canceled due to a lack of enrollment. The teacher will contact you about the cancellation and you will receive a full refund of monies paid.
