Viking Technique Workbook

Specialty Techniques for any Viking Machine with the Techniques used that month

We would like to share with our customers a new Technique Workbook Class designed by Viking.

We will focus on 1 technique in each class and have workbook pages to support that technique and do a Project using the same technique. We feel that by connecting a project to it – you will see the practical application and why that technique is a benefit to your sewing. We will start with basics and build upon those skills. The project will not use the exact exercise that was in the workbook but will use that technique; this will reinforce what was learned in the workbook. Some classes will be focused on sewing features; specific machine, (Epic, Epic 2) knowledge; exclusive stitch techniques like the L menu and P menu, the dimensional stitches like pop-up and sequin stitches. If your machine does any of the techniques in the class, that class will pertain to your machine.

McDougal’s will offer these 3-hour classes quarterly to start. If we have an interest, we can go monthly if desired.

Pre-requisite: You must have purchased your machine from McDougal Sewing and have taken the Basic guide classes offered at McDougal’s.

There will be a $30 fee per class which includes all workbook pages, project instructions, and a project kit.

Project: Sequin Stitch Linen Glitz Pillow with Embroidery

In Part 2 of our Viking Epic 2 Workbook we’ll be digging into all the options in the sequin and theme stitches on our machines. We will also be duplicating and placing designs for our pillow. If your Viking has sequin stitches and theme stitches, please join us, you do not have to do the embroidery section.
