Let’s learn how to Free Motion in a unique and very old technique called Thread Painting. My Mother taught me how to make a bird when I was a little girl on a Singer Blackhead! This year we will be using some of our decorative stitches along with the Echo Quilting presser foot to create texture.

 Thread painting is pretty much drawing with threads and yarns. It is about your personal preferences, about density, light and shadow, colors and texture… it is pretty much about you being in control of how the thread moves across the canvas of your fabric.  You are the Artist and your sewing machine is your tool.

Pre-requisite: This is not a Beginner Class. You must be familiar with how to thread your machine and be comfortable using it. The machine must be in good working order prior to class.
