Beginner Sewing (B)
Do you wonder what all those symbols on your pattern mean? This class covers that and much more. Learn all about the information on the pattern envelope to determine your size and fabric requirements. We’ll cut and construct a pair of elastic waist leisure pants for yourself or a loved one.
30-minute lunch break, supplies required
Prerequisite: Novice Sewing or Beginner Sewing

Experience Levels
(N) Novice. No experience whatsoever Unable to thread machine, wind bobbin, or operate the machine. Novice sewing is an abbreviated class that teaches only the most basic skills.
(B) Beginner. Beginners will have all the skills listed in the Beginner Sewing class. Essentially you can operate your machine on your own, get out of jams and be familiar with the basic tools. Some experience sewing.
(I) Intermediate. Everything a beginner knows plus familiar with patterns. The intermediate sewer will be able to come to class with the pattern and fabric precut and marked.
(A) Advanced. You can pretty much do anything with your machine. Confident in your ability to tackle any project.
Equivalent Experience. You may have experience and knowledge of the skills listed in a prerequisite class. If you think you already know about the skills in the prerequisite class, then you have equivalent experience. Be aware that you will be expected to know those skills, as they will not be taught in the class.
