Create a basic fabric collage and add interest through the art of thread painting. Begin with a simple 3-part background and create a work of art with appliqued plant pots, couched plants, and thread painted details. You will learn a simple trick to make the design stand out and the skills that transform the fabric into an original work of art. The class project is finished as a wall-hanging. It could be added to the front of a tote bag, made into a pillow, or sewn onto the back of a denim jacket.

There is a kit fee of $15 paid to the teacher on the day of class. Please bring $15 in cash only.

About the teacher:

Genie Fuller has been embroidering for the past three years and developed an interest and talent for thread-painting. She is semi-retired from her business of 35 years and has continued to practice her hobby with machine embroidery and thread painting. Having delivered countless business training seminars to executives, she employs those talents to teach her craft of thread painted collages, which is her passion. Join Genie on August 1^st to learn the tricks she developed in this medium.
